Hello! My name is Michelle Bettin.
I am licensed by the MN Board of Social Work as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW).
I have worked in the social services field since 1995. Since 1999, I have been providing clinical services exclusively to adults in a hospital setting along with an outpatient partial program. The majority of this work has been with people with serious and persistent mental illnesses. I have training and experience in cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, motivational interviewing and Emotional Freedom Technique of Tapping. My areas of interests include: depression, anxiety, shame, woman's issues, relationship issues and skills based therapy approaches.
My goal is to provide a nurturing space for clients so they can safely journey along the path of transformation. It is in this moment where I hope to become a guiding light in your search to reclaim your power, so you can continue with your life journey that includes a renewed sense of balance, freedom, and joy.
I believe that in addition to traditional talk therapy that the use of energy work can enhance the experience and allow you to release trapped energy. My goal is to provide quality mental health services as we work together on the goals that you have set for yourself. My approach is validating, compassionate and promoting. I will support you with where you are at, along with challenging you in areas of growth and change.
